Have you heard about remanufactured toner cartridges? Yes, it is really good news for many laser printer users. But, there are a few speculations that it’s dangerous to both printer and your pocket as well. I won’t believe that personally. It is because; to think that professional cartridge remanufacturers do produce faulty products; that will surely bring their company down. Of course, they have to produce a good product to make their business even healthy and so it will continue to rise and serve more people.

Today’s printing industry seems to be very healthy and so we can really see the competition between the companies who makes business with printers and printing materials. But, do you know that they have both similar problems and enemies? Yes, they have and it’s the manufacturers of compatible inks. These type of inks are manufactured to fit and work with different printing machines of either ink-jets or lasers technology. What’s the problem about that? The problem here is that compatible inks are manufacture by third party companies and it’s a lot cheaper than that of the OEM’s price in the market. Many consumers have switched to compatible inks because aside from the fact that it’s cheaper, they also got the same printing quality with the OEM’s. Now, that’s a big problem indeed!

I asked my friend who works in a metal working company about DXF. I meet this file while I was downloading sample AutoCAD drawing. Then, since I know that he could possibly answer my question I called him and there…he doesn’t know it. What? I thought he knows a lot about it since he’s a designer, using a couple of updated CAD programs. Well, that’s how worst he is but then I got an answer via Google. DXF then is an abbreviation for Drawing Exchange Format used in today’s industries. The birth of this file format gives convenience to a lot of designers who uses different CAD software in the process of their works. DXF is a file format readable and compatible with different CAD software thus designers can now read files made in different software through the software that they’re using.

The antivirus that I’ve installed on my PC is packed with several tools and features. Above all of its features, the site advisor is the most useful for me. Most of the time I make a lot of online activities thus I am super exposed to threats. But then I am confident that I’m in the safe site because the site advisor prompts if it imposes danger to me. Also, it gives security reports and blocks my access if I unintentionally clicked a link that leads to bad sites. A cousin of mine in my father’s side went knocking at our door last Monday because father told them that I know how to fix computer troubles. Well actually I don’t admit that because I just don’t feel that I am equipped with that kind of talent. But, I have made several repair jobs on several PC’s and laptops. Still, I am not convinced that I am a real techie guy who can do professional repairs. Well too much on that. My cousin brought a defective tower unit that she bought last year for her kids. I made my basic procedure and found it still working but can’t seek the hard drive. So it says something like “Boot disk failure….” The BIOS was different and it was new to my eyes. I performed several test to track the problem but in the end I made it on the configuration in the BIOS. Aside from that there were also other problems that I encountered upon opening the unit because I noticed that it was cheaply assembled. The motherboard wasn’t mounted properly on the case and it only has 2 screws there and a sheet of something like, foam. She told me that I was due to the last time it was sent back to their friend for repair because it was not working at all. The diagnosis that time was “grounded” that’s why the foam exists there. Then I also noticed that the chassis fan was defective. I purchased the necessary replacement parts for the unit and installed it. They will drop by our house tomorrow to get the unit and I hope that they will refund the expenses. Never mind the service because I think the problem was too easy.

During these days, technologically inclined individuals are seeking for more of what they have. The people behind the making of our latest powerful technologies are gearing up to set their rapid strikes. So, likewise in the field of computing, providers started developing this so called cloud computing. Basically, what is does is a terrible magic for us users who’s longing for better accessibility and performance as well. As of now, a couple of cloud computing companies are working with better deliverance of this service which indeed will give a better experience for the end-users. Now, how does it really works and makes sense at all? This so called cloud computing will give us better solutions when it comes to files, software and programs, and information. What happens here is that computing will be more on service rather than the traditional product that we are using right now. So, the scenario is that all the files, software, programs, and other computing stuffs that we need shall be delivered to us as a something like a browser application. It will only mean that there will be no more further installations and computer requirement that is needed just like in today’s computing. To make it clear, take for example the electricity that we are using for several years passed. We only have to use it and we don’t have to tackle a lot about how it is made and delivered.

After I fixed my front audio I/O panel I decided to put my huge speakers out of my computer area. I don’t find it good anymore and I want a new headset for my personal use. Well it’s nice to have those wireless headphones which I really admired for a very long time. I didn’t purchase it right when I saw it in the mall because I don’t have the purpose of where to use it. Well at least now I have to buy it because I have already fixed by front panel ports which means a better accessibility for me.

I went to the mall yesterday to finally purchase my planned favorite headphone that I’ve been craving to have. But sad to say that when I went over the shop the sales personnel told me that it was out of stock since last week. Well, I asked him if they could reserve a piece for me and text me if it’s present again on their shop. Good thing that he agreed on my favor and maybe the next week after or within this week they’ll just ping me up to update me on the availability of the product.
